Statistics Program – V10 Post Mining Reclamation of PT Adaro Energy

PT Adaro Energy Indonesia operates a major coal mining area located in Tabalong and Balangan Regencies, South Kalimantan Province, and has implemented long-term post-mining land reclamation to restore ecological functions on previously disturbed sites. Spatiotemporal statistical analysis using Sentinel-2 imagery from 2016 to 2023 shows a significant increase in vegetation cover within the reclamation area, expanding from approximately 342 ha in 2016 to more than 1,234 ha in 2023, with a net gain of about 892 ha. This steady growth, reflected by increasing NDVI, SLAVI, and RVI values, indicates progressive vegetation establishment and demonstrates the effectiveness of Adaro’s reclamation practices.
